Northshore Enrollment for the 2025-26 School Now Open!

New student enrollment, including Kindergarten, for the 2025-26 school year is now open. Families who have students currently enrolled in a Northshore school this school year do not need to re-enroll.

By enrolling this winter for the 2025-26 school year, there are a number of benefits:

Connection to your child’s school community including information about school tours and Kindergarten events; and
Early enrollment helps the district correctly staff classrooms, services, and prepare for great learning environments for our students.

To help get you to the correct enrollment form, please answer a couple of questions:

If you need help enrolling your child or children for school, including translation or interpretation in another language, please contact your child’s future school for enrollment information and support. You can find each school's contact information here. Your attendance area school is based on your home address. You can find your child’s school by using the Address Look Up Tool.

Enrolling in Preschool?

Enrolling your student in preschool is a separate process. Please visit our Early Childhood page for more information for information.

Enrollment Overview

Enrollment at NMS can be completed by one of the following:

Online Enrollment: Enrollment can be completed for new students and returning students (students who have attended a NSD school previously, withdrew, and are now re-enrolling) via the enrollment link at the top of this page, or here:

Please upload all required documents for faster processing. Documents can also be submitted directly to our registrar. Enrollment will not be able to be processed until all required documents are received.

Paper Enrollment: Enrollment can also be completed manually by downloading and submitting the following packet to our registrar:

This registration packet contains form fields that can be filled in on your computer and saved only if you first download the documents and use a PDF reader capable of saving the filled in forms, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Records and Transcripts from NMS

Requesting academic records and transcripts from NMS
Transcripts are not applicable to middle school grades. However, a request for a copy of an academic history can be submitted to our Registrar using the Consent to Release Student Records form. After the form is filled out, return the form to our Registrar, to verify their identity prior to the release of documents. Please indicate if it needs to be an "official" record and it will be sent sealed.

Students New to NMS
Schools can request and send academic records and transcripts to the NMS Registrar by fax.

Students Leaving NMS
If you are withdrawing your student and would like a copy of the records, please submit the Request Withdraw Of Student form and deliver that request to our Registrar, who will provide records directly to the new school.
Please be advised that if your student has withdrawn from Northshore Middle School, we are required to verify enrollment with the new school.

Instructions for Requesting School
If you are the requesting school of a student who is transferring from NMS, please email or fax your request to our Registrar, Rebecca Mullinnix at rmullinnix@nsd.org.

Which NSD School Do I Attend?

NSD School Enrollment Forms

Please see the information above regarding steps to enroll your student. The forms that will be necessary to provide are the following:

Enrollment Application Current Immunization records from WAIIS or a physician's office (all immunizations must be verified by a provider). Health Registration Form. Current residency documentation (see enrollment instructions).

Homeless Services - McKinney-Vento Act

Students living in homeless situations have a right to:

Get help with enrolling in school from the district liaison or other school contacts to continue academic success

Continue in the school they attended (referred to as the school of origin) before they became homeless or the school they last attended, if that is the parent’s choice and is feasible

Get transportation to and from school of origin

Receive free school meals

Receive additional services such as ELL, Special Education, Title I, preschool, Elementary Advanced

Program (EAP), career/technical education
